You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream. ~ C. S. Lewis

Courage doesn't always roar.Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,"I will try again tomorrow. ~ Mary Anne Radmacher
The secret of getting ahead is getting started. The secret of getting started is breaking your complex overwhelming tasksinto small manageable tasks, and then starting on the first one. ~ Mark Twain
Discontent is the first necessity of progress. ~ Thomas Edison

Hurray, you're back!!! I love all those quotes, very uplifting and affirming.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back! I hope you had a nice and productive break. Great quotes today, Janet. I love the Edison one. Contented people never need to accomplish anything. Of course, I also believe you have to find some measure of contentment or you drive yourself nuts, but total contentment never gets you anywhere. =o)
ReplyDeleteYou're back! Yay! I love the quotes. Especially Mark Twain's.
ReplyDeletehello Janet, glad you're back - thought I was slacking again and kept missing your posts ;)
ReplyDeleteI like Thomas Edison's quote today - because, as Dr. Phil likes to say, "Is that working for you?" If the answer is no, time to chase that dream.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back! I hope you had a good break.
ReplyDeleteI like the Mark Twain quote because I know from experience that the hardest thing is starting on a goal. A goal like 'writing a book' often feels so big and overwhelming that we give up before we even begin. But if we break up the goal into small, managable pieces, we find it's very doable.

Welcome back! And very fitting quotes today. :D
ReplyDeleteHey, Everyone :)
ReplyDeleteLu - it's good to be back. And those quotes just seemed to be perfect for today :)
B.E. - I hear you on the 'driving yourself nuts' part. That's why I loved your blogpost today - and why I'll be talking about it tomorrow ;) Productive? Not really, but very, very restful.
Joanne - Yep, loved Mark Twain's - nothing like breaking down a far-reaching dream into baby steps :)
ban - Nope, just took an extra couple of days to figure out whether or not I wanted to come back. Nice to see you today :)
Julia - I love Dr. Phil-isms! And really how true is that? If it's not working, better change it ;)
Jana - Very doable. Like I said to Joanne, baby steps :)
Silver - Thanks :)
Thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteI looked for you Monday. Nada
Tuesday. nicht
Wednesday. Got my new glasses! But dog is peeing in non pee zones. Poor puppy!
But at least I get to read what you and everybody else in your cadre are thinking.
I am taking a poll here:
How many think ex-prisoners from Guatanamo Bay are creating violence in Lybia ?
How many believe it is 12-year-olds on drugs?
Do you agree with Gadhafi Gduck that there is nothing wrong in Lybia or do you think he is and shouldn't BE?
Yikes, Anonymous - politics? I aways adhere to the saying "Never talk politics or religion" - OK, sometimes I break the rule, but not very often. Needless to say, I sympathize with all the everyday people in the middle east who just want to live their lives in peace. And I thank God (oops, religion) everyday that I live in a place as wonderful as Canada :)
