Ah, the great thing about working iin a province that has a stat holiday in February! Even better, the province I live in doesn't, therefore everything is open. And I'm off to the big city :)
Have a fun trip! We're off today, too, but I'm staying home. The weather's too yucky for driving anywhere. On the upside, it'll give me lots of time to work on this chapter. Weeee.
Enjoy your jaunt into the "big smoke"! We have the day off here, too. In fact, this is the week of the winter school break, so we have both boys home, in the house, wanting to borrow my car, eating everything that doesn't move.
My plans to edit may require me to retreat to my bedroom.
I have the experience of three of the beasts. I can tell you that if there is 'nothing' in the fridge, except five kinds of sandwich meat, four kinds of cheese and some egg salad, (ACK!), they start eyeing the goldfish or starting wondering if turtle soup (ACK!) is everything it is said to be. Bet your car doesn't begin to hold a week's worth of groceries.
Just because I need some stuff, the holiday we do have is going to throw a spanner into the works. Like you, we old fogeys don't care if there is a long weekend or not, because we have forgotten what day it is anyway.... connie
This old fogey still works Monday to Friday, so I am very happy with long weekends (and I mark them off on the calendar with glee ;)
At least most of the stores stay open out west on holidays...if it truly were a stat holiday here, there would be no trip into the city because everything closes down! But, I guess everyone needs a holiday, right!

"Big Smoke"? Is that what they call the HRM? Had a great time - love going to the city!
DeleteEnjoy your week with The Boys! So glad College Boy made it home OK! And good luck with the editing amongst all the activity, Lu :)
Watch out Grace/Lu,
