About/Contact

I have always been a story teller - just ask my mom about my 'exaggerations' - so it was a natural progression to pick up a pen and paper and start writing. I've since graduated to keyboard and computer screen, but there are times when Muse is stuck and I go back to a good medium stick pen and yellow legal pad.

Oh, I should introduce Muse and EE (Evil Editor). They are my constant companions on this journey. Some days I love them, other days, not so much. The perfect days are when they are working together to create magic. Most days, they bicker and complain - those days, writing seems to be the least favorite activity on my 'To Do' list.

It's only been the past few years where I've seriously pursued writing as a career. Had anyone explained to me then what an arduous task I faced, I might have given it a second or third thought. My journey so far has been one of learning and growing, heartache, triumphs, hard decisions, and constant joy. I started as one and have found a community of many, all willing to help, cheer, comfort, and support.

In my regular life, when I'm not thinking up interesting plots or learning the craft, I work as a data management/marketing analyst for a auto and recreational dealership.  I am lucky enough to work from home and that in itself is teaching me great time management skills. I love to cross stitch, weave, and read - anything I can get my hands on including cereal boxes at the breakfast table when nothing else is available. I should exercise more and eat better. I live on Canada's East Coast. And my favorite color is purple. My husband and I are owned by a German Shepherd named Taz (Trouble from A to Z).

And one day I will see my name, Janet S. Corcoran, on the cover of a book!
